Here is song from the play called the "Ballad of Paul and Herod"
STRAYS" was designed to be a "hook- laden" Rock Opera Sequel to Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Jesus Christ Superstar" which would pick up three days later and chronicle the "incredible adventures' of an "outlaw gang of misfits" who were reviled by all in authority and changed the course of human history to create a "peace movement" that is still alive today.
It was an ambitious undertaking and before it's completion twenty eight songs were written and the dialog telling the story was mostly taken directly from the acts of the apostles from six different versions of the bible.
To complete the story of what happened to the characters ( the bible never tells) we had to go to the historical records and the "gnostic gospels" to bring it to completion and that caused an outcry from the evangelical right.
